The World Futurist Society is a group of folks who are watching current trends and wish to solve problems or propel smarter decisions in the here and now to make the World a better place in the future? But how smart are they? Well maybe we should ask how much do they care? They are a rather sincere group of people indeed.

The WFS is an interesting group, unfortunately sometimes with brilliance comes baggage and there are too many prima donnas and public relations, expert Guru status claimers in that group and one would therefore have to ask themselves what Gracho Marx did; Why would you wish to join a group which would have you as a member? [not all are bad, I know a few and enjoy their discussion].

Another issue with the WFS is that it has a very leaning liberal biased almost to an unhealthy level, as sometimes that can really shade the reality or worse conflict with the forward motion of a currently politically created reality of convenience under way and if you attack a problem that you really wish to solve with garbage in, then well, your solution is just more minutia out.

For those who are serious and really care and have a lot of experience and a lot of knowledge and want to help, it is a good group to belong too. So if you are one of those, then you may wish to think on it? Consider this in 2006.
