White Sun - What is Life? (Part 3 of 10)

Author: Teow Aun Chew

Part 3 of 10 of "What is Life?" is the Third Admonition of Lao Mu and this is what she said:

Tao is the most supreme.

Lao Mu advised the cultivators to hurriedly attain enlightenment. Wake up to the truth and Tao; emptiness is not actually empty. Existence is nothingness; nothingness is existence. Both existence and nothingness are of the same essence.

Image is emptiness; emptiness is image.

The void is neither an image nor emptiness.

When discussing about mysticism and talk about the void, not many can understand. It cannot be seen or heard, yet encompass all images and emptiness. It is the true Lord, the great pivot, creates and cultivates all beings, it is beyond images and emptiness. It transcends nine strata of Heaven and with nothing beneath, it encompasses nine strata of Hell and ten halls of Justice in the underworld.

The spiritual world and earth and all beings within will disappear, if departed from it. It is forced to name TAO or the True One, and is used to convert and save the cosmos.

It is the True Origin, The Void or the permanent root known as Wu-Ji (in Chinese).

When Tao is in the spiritual world, it is clear and the cosmos revolves. It moves the sun, moon and the spirit flows smoothly.

When is on Earth, it forms into mountains and streams to cultivate and nourish.

All beings and existence arise and nourish on TAO.

When Tao is in human, it has life and can feel and move. Human has Tao and sadly not aware of it resulting in birth, death and rebirth. The truth embedded in Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism has no difference because all are ordained by Lao Mu. To transmit Tao is to transmit this void and the mystical Three Heavenly Treasures. Ever since the beginning there is only one Dharma and only one Tao. What the Immortals, Buddhas and Saints transmit by meeting of hearts is from the same root and of the same lineage.

Enlightening to the Dharma makes one know all Dharmas. Thousands of Buddhist sutras and scriptures of Saints are expounding the same truth. Thousands of other religion flourished like maze but yet the Truth has not been revealed. The Truth is revealed in Tao of Heaven and is made available to all in accordance to the Heavenly Decree. For the assembly in Heaven known as "Long Hua Assembly" Heaven selects candidates to propagate Tao of Heaven and inherit the secret of the void and the mystical doctrine.

Once you received Tao, you must hurry to accumulate merits and practise the true self through the false self.

Tao is void, if you cannot attain the void then everything you have will vanish.

A human life in this world is like a kernel of corn in the ocean, following the high tide in and the low tide out, unable to distinguish west from east. Alcohol, images and wealth have captivated the original divine nature. The waves of desires never rest and the emotions and love are like shackles chaining and locking you up. Longing for glory, beauty or attaching to wealth and power, one is netted and roped by fame and profit. How could a spark of flint or a flesh of lightning be long lasting?

Taking bitterness as happiness just like ants and flies, how often can you get peace and rest? From young to old age, sweetness and bitterness of life are very sorrowful. In just a flash, karma is formed. Who can escape birth, old age, sickness and death and sufferings? In a blink, a child grows into an old man with grey hair. Coming with nothing and leaving with nothing, you cannot bring along even a penny. Ending up with a lonely grave, your soul reports to the underworld. Regardless of how rich or noble you are, the rewards and punishments are always given. To fulfill karma, animals reincarnate into humans and humans into animals. The more the soul reincarnates, the deeper it is lost and the more it is contaminated.

Those who are awakened become saints or sages and reach the Kingdom of Bliss. Those who are lost become commoners and will fall into the underworld. Deities or Immortals are all achieved by mortals and no one is born as an Immortal, Buddha, Deity or a Saint.

Seek the Enlightened Teacher and receive the Tao so that you can restore your True Selves and return home to Heaven.
