To use alfalfa as herbs for arthritis, place 1 ounce of alfalfa in a pot and cover it with one quart of water. The alfalfa needs to boil for thirty minutes. After the alfalfa has boiled, strain it and drink the quart throughout the day. The alfalfa tea regimen should only be done for two to three weeks, and then you should take a break for seven to ten days before starting again.

Remove the herbs for arthritis from the heat and let stand, covered, until the water cools to room temperature. Strain and drink the tea in three doses during the day for two to three weeks at a time. Then, take a break for seven to ten days and start the treatment again if desired.
