The Girl's Guide to NASCAR, was a concerning title for the author Liz Allison, at the time of the writing and publishing. Yet when she went for the first book signing session, she found that the majority of the people waiting in line for a signature were men. She admits that the title was a bit of a worry, she feared that the girls guide could, easily shy men away from a book that otherwise was a great read for all Nascar fans. While at Talladega, she would ask if the book was for a sister, or wife. The men would be up from and honest, the book was for them.

It was from the mouth of Darrell Waltrip himself that informed all that this is a wonderful book to read for all fans of the sport. The book is filled with great information about Nascar, from people who plan their vacation time around the Nascar schedule; to TV drivers the book can appeal to all.

For those that are not familiar with the name Liz Allison, she just happens to be the widow of the former Nascar star driver Davey Allison. This is not a book of information from a rookie to the fans; this is a wealth of knowledge from someone who lived the sport first hand.

With the continual changes in the sport, sometimes it is hard to keep up, this book will help for those that are not so hip on the lingo, and rules of this wonderful sport of Nascar.
