Trade Winds Strong Preventing Early Season Hurricanes

Author: Lance Winslow

It looks as if the 2006 Atlantic tropical hurricane season is off to a slow start thanks to the strong trade winds that are preventing the forming of hurricanes in the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico. As long as the trade winds remain strong we will not have large category hurricanes forming.

But since summer has arrived we can expect that the trade winds will slow down and hurricanes will start to circulate and form. This means that the large category hurricanes will soon be on their way and it makes sense if you live in a hurricane prone area to be prepared and have your home and family protected.

The United States of America and the U.S. taxpayer will be spending much money this year through FEMA trying to help all the victims of the hurricanes. They have promised a faster response time due to major catastrophic category hurricanes in the 2006 Atlantic Tropical Hurricane Season unlike last year during Hurricane Katrina.

This is where the tires meet the pavement and we are well into the hurricane season and should expect some large category storms in July, August and September. Luckily we escaped in June from any major category hurricanes forming due to the trade winds that were very strong, but this is about to end. Here we go again on another wild ride indeed. Please consider this 2006.
