How to Move the Hand of God

Author: Daniel N. Brown

Have you experienced many disappointments in your life? If youre human, you have. Through repeated disappointments, we can become conditioned to expect more disappointments and display a lack of faith.

Hebrews 11:6 says, "Without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." We can see by this verse that we cannot please God unless we walk in faith.

So, how do we continue to walk in faith if we have been repeatedly disappointed? After all, why should we get your hopes up, right?

The dictionary defines faith as "trust, belief without proof, promise, and loyalty."

Ask yourself these questions...

~ Am I really trusting God?

~ Do I know that He has my best interest in mind?

~ Do I really believe His promises from His Word are true and they were given for me?

~ Am I loyal to God and defend Him when the devil tries to tell me that God doesnt care about my needs and desires?

These are some serious things to consider. Its easy to just say whatever you think God wants to hear, but He is not fooled by words. He knows our hearts.

When we come to God, we must believe that He is God Almighty! And believe He rewards those who diligently seek Him. Have faith in Him! Psalm 62:5 says, My expectation is in the Lord.

We must be like the woman who begged Jesus to deliver her daughter in Matthew 15. She said, Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David (She knew who He was and she was diligently seeking Him)! Jesus said to her, Great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire (Matthew 15:28).

The past does not have to equal the future. No matter how many disappointments you may have faced, He is still God and He loves you. He wants to perform miracles in your life but you must trust Him. His hand is moved by faith.
