No More Lies From Our Government

Author: Lance Winslow

There is no greater lie in my opinion from government than the purported claim in a report this week to the United States Congress by the United States Department of Justices Federal Trade Commissions Consumer Protection Divisions Anti-Spam Group that they are winning the war on SPAM. How on Earth can we expect to be protected by our government when they cannot even stop SPAM on the Internet; in an electronic world. How can we expect them to protect us in the real world?

Lets face it SPAM is out of control and the FTCs enforcement on the CAN SPAM Act is dismal at best and piss poor performance at best. We need to wise up to the fact that this aggressive war on SPAM is nothing more than a sham on the American People. The intent is worthy but the Failed-The-Consumer F-T-C is certainly not an agency up for the job. Should we demand a firing of all employees in the Consumer Protection Division at the FTC? Should we clean house? Should heads roll now? Indeed, that would be a start, but it is this kind of thing that makes the American People mistrust government and further dig to uncover the lies. I believe we need not corporate reform as it is about as translucent these days as glass, but we need government ethics reform in the Blob of bureaucracy. Lets start at the FTCs Consumer Protection Division, lets put some of these folks in prison. I am calling for prison terms of all those involved in the Anti-SPAM division for misrepresenting and deceiving the US Congress and the American People. Think on it.
