Yes, I know, organization is a dirty word and a boring subject, and how can I make such a statement?

Webmasters are such busy people. So much to do and so little time.

Think what income generating projects you could accomplish if you had a competent assistant to take on a few of your duties.You could promote your website or blog more aggressively, write more new content for your existing website, or create yet another website and stream of income. Yes, you could do all of that.

Acquiring links either by directly pursuing a links program or through writing articles can be a time consuming element of promotion, but more visitors mean more potential income.

Now, think about how many times you've tried to find a specific file or piece of information, and how many times you've cursed yourself because you could not find that url to a website you wanted to watch. They had an idea which really caught your attention and you wanted to follow up on it.

I know, I've certainly done all those things. But I'm getting better. Implementing a method of organizing all your files and information that works for you, is so important when you are running a one woman or one man business. You are the office manager, the filing clerk, the treasurer etc.

Income generating projects can fill the time you save Develop a system that works for you and be diligent about following it. Organize your bookmarks in a manner that makes sense to you, and find a way to name and organize your computer files that puts them at a click of the mouse. You need to figure out what works for you because everyone has a different way of thinking, but make sure you can find what you need when you need it without fumbling around. And occasionally go on a cleaning spree and throw out what you no longer need.

Most IP's provide from 5 to 7 email identities. Designating one for affiliate info, another for newsletters, etc can be a help and allow you to designate one for those things for which you can't afford to be untimely.

This will free up so much of your time, it will be like having an able assistant. All this new found time will allow you to do all those things like promote your website or blog, work on your links program, create new content, and possibly create yet another website and another stream of income.

We each have only so much time and we need to use it to our advantage and spend it doing things which will be income producing. That might even leave some extra time to just do something we especially enjoy.
