The Dirt On MLM

Author: Bob Power

When I told a friend of mine about my information quest, he asked me to do some research on MLM. The first person I talked to was a friend of mine that always seemed to be involved in one enterprise after another. He had some interesting information on the attitude of people towards MLM.

"A lot of people got a little jaded (including the author) about MLM because the old style of doing the MLM business was so secretive. The approach they wanted you to take was to some how lure someone to a meeting where all would be revealed. Then for the most part it was all about the money first and the products last", he told me. I understood that because I had been approached a few times exactly like that.

"Today many MLM companies have a different attitude", he continued, "a more professional method where people, the product/s and benefits of the product/s are the number one reasons to approach someone. If you believe in the products and the benefits for people then talking to people becomes much easier, you feel better about it, and there's no secrets. The number one reason should be to help make someone's life easier, not about how much money they could be making."

He told me about the products that his MLM company offered. It was very interesting and in fact I want do more research on those, which of course will lead to more articles.

After I had talked my friend I did some more digging. In turns out that the MLM method of buying products is one of the fastest growing enterprise in the world today. It makes sense when you think about it. In some parts of the world they love it. In North America it seems that MLM is easier to move out west, and the hardest to move in the east. Why? That's another article I guess.

Of course the business works by word of mouth. Telling other people about the products, the benefits and the potential of extra income or even full time income. Let's face it, if you see a good movie, read a good book, or even get a great deal at a major retailer in your community, you tell other people about it. In fact you are so enthusiastic about it sometimes, you would swear you were getting a commission for each person you told. But you are not, nor will you ever!

In MLM, you may just get that commission if the person you talk to buys products from you, or joins that particular MLM business and buys products themselves or sells products to others. In fact if that person you talk to joins, and is keen to create as much extra income or full time income as possible you make even more. And if that person finds more people like themselves, and they join and do the same, your income grows as well.

In that respect MLM is so powerful, it's scary. The friend of mine I was talking to had joined this particular company only months previous and was making money. The member that signed him made over $7,000 in his first month, and that amount will probably grow substantially. In fact if you achieve a certain level in the company you can earn commissions to infinity of your downline. Imagine if you had a group of people who wanted to achieve that goal in your downline. They could make you a whole lot of money. The products are leading edge, today's and tomorrow's needs in technology and health, with a wealth of research behind them. It's the kind of company, now trading on the stock market, that I will take a very, very close look at.

It's been a long time since I looked at a MLM business. Their professional approach really impressed me. The products are excellent and fit a specific niche. And the people first and the products the next in importance! This may not be the case for every MLM opportunity out there, but it was for this one. (In fact if someone approaches you, and you have to pry out of them what the product/s are, walk away!) I was pleasantly surprised, and I am going to pursue this further. I will let you know how it goes.
